NOMINATIONS for Mudiad Meithrin’s annual awards ceremony to celebrate and recognise all the excellent work at its provisions all over Wales will open on St David’s Day, March 1.

Mudiad Meithrin is looking for nominations of staff and volunteers in Cylchoedd Meithrin, Cylchoedd Ti a Fi and Day Nurseries for awards in 11 categories.

Leanne Marsh, Head of Services Development for Mudiad Meithrin said:"The awards ceremony is an opportunity for Mudiad Meithrin to recognise and thank the staff and volunteers at grassroots level.

"This gives everyone an opportunity to nominate an early years setting – be it a Cylch Meithrin, a Cylch Ti a Fi or a day nursery – for an award in one of 11 categories.”

All the details are available on-line - meithrin.cymru/nominate - with an invitation for anyone to nominate a cylch or day nursery in a number of fields.

The nominations window will close at midnight on May 1

Leanne added:“All you have to do is state three reasons why you wish to nominate.

"You can also add up to three images to support your nomination.”

Iola Jones, Head of Partnerships and Communications for Mudiad Meithrin said: "We hope that many will see this as an opportunity for a Welsh-medium early years setting in their area to be recognised for its work and we look forward to receiving a host of nominations.”

Following the success of the ceremony over the last three years this year’s awards ceremony will be held at Theatr y Werin, Aberystwyth on Saturday, October 19.

Before then the judging panel will meet at the end of May with a short-list for all 11 categories being announced at the end of June.
