POLICE have confirmed a Cross Hands man was killed in a collision on the A48.
Michael Watkins, 35, has been identified by Dyfed-Powys Police as the pedestrian killed in the crash.
A spokesman for the police said: "Dyfed-Powys Police can confirm that the pedestrian who sadly died in a collision on the A48 is 35-year-old Michael Watkins, from the Cross Hands area.
"Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision, that happened around 1.22am on Sunday, February 24, on the eastbound carriageway of the A48 before the Cwmgwili junction in Carmarthenshire.
"The incident involved a heavy goods vehicle and a pedestrian, who passed away at scene.
"If anyone has any information or may have seen a man walking along the A48 at the relevant time, please contact Carmarthenshire Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting police reference DPP-20190224-034.
