A STORE worker in Gwaun Cae-Gurwen has braved the shave for charity, raising more than £1,000.
Kim Maclaughlan, who works at CKs in Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen, had her head shaved to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research, while the hair will go to The Little Princess Trust, who use it to make wigs for those with cancer.
The brave the shave event raised £1,142.
Speaking following the shave, Kim said: “I would like to thank everyone for their contributions and support.
“Both charities do amazing work and need our help to raise awareness.
“I have raised money in the past for Maggie’s in Singleton Hospital and the Welsh Air Ambulance by doing a tandem parachute jump and am looking forward to my next charity event.”
