Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 between Pont Abraham roundabout and junction 48 (for Hendy/Llanelli) this morning.
The collision was reported shortly after 4am on Friday, December 7.
One car, a blue Vauxhall Vectra, was involved.
The driver died and his next of kin has been informed.
The road was closed for several hours and re-opened at around 9am.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Anyone who travelled along that stretch of road around the time of the collision, or has any information, is urged to contact police by calling 101.
