A man has been taken to hospital after his vehicle left the road on the A476 near Llandeilo this afternoon.

The one vehicle collision occurred around 12 noon on the Ffairfach to Carmel road on Wednesday, November 14.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Police attended a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred just after 12 noon today.

"A white Mercedes Sprinter van left the road.

"The road was closed while the vehicle was recovered.”

Fire crews from Llandeilo and Ammanford were also called to scene.

A Mid West Wales Fire and Rescue Spokesperson added: "A male occupant was released from the vehicle prior to the arrival of the Fire Service and received oxygen therapy from firefighters before being transferred to the care of the paramedics."

A Wales Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called at approximately 12pm to reports of a road traffic collision in Llandeilo.

"One patient has been transported to Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen."
