An author from Ammanford has signed a publishing deal.

Sharpe Books has agreed to publish the next seven of Sally Spedding’s thrillers as e-books and paperbacks over the next few years.

The first is The Nighthawk, set in France's eastern Pyrenees in 1942 and 1986, where one false move spells danger and worse for newly retired Detective Inspector John Lyon who, on holiday, becomes accidentally involved with an attractive but mysterious stranger with a secret past. Where nothing will ever be the same again.

Award-winning Crime mystery writer Sally said: “The Nighthawk is the first in a trilogy, with Carcass next, set in west Wales and France then, Death Knell set mostly in Norfolk.”

“Also, to be published will be a quartet of noir crime thrillers featuring young Delphine Rougier.

“Set mainly near Le Mans, Footfall, is the first, where she's working as a hotel chambermaid until making a gruesome discovery.

“This triggers her ambition to become a gendarme.”
