A casualty has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A48.

A car hit the central reservation causing a lane to be closed on the A48 westbound between the A476 Llandeilo Road (Cross Hands roundabout) and B4310 Porthyrhyd.

It follows this morning's incident on the A48 Eastbound where a man was taken to hospital after a crash involving one vehicle.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called at approximately 11.30am to reports of a road traffic collision on the A48 near Cross Hands.

"We responded with one rapid response vehicle and one emergency ambulance, where one person was taken to Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen.”
