Following the after effects from Storm Callum last weekend, there will be a full road closure on the A40.
South Wales Trunk Road Agent will carry out removal of tree debris washed down river which has come to rest against the Pontargothi River bridge on the A40.
In order to safely remove this debris there is a requirement for a full road closure to be implemented.
A spokesperson said: "We propose to undertake these works on Wednesday, October 24 from 10am until 1pm to allow for specialist equipment to remove these large trees from the affected structure.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this closure may cause to the travelling public and an alternative diversion route will be signed along its length."
