Ammanford’s Alex Jones along with fellow celebrities Tess Daly, Carol Kirkwood and Ore Oduba, are among the stars supporting the launch of this year’s Children In Need fundraising campaign.

The latest campaigned was launched on October 4 and is asking people across the UK to channel their passions, hobbies or dreams and Do Your Thing to help change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK ahead of the charity’s 39th Appeal show next month.

The star-studded list of supporters include Strictly Come Dancing contestant Stacey Dooley, The Saturday’s Mollie King and TV presenter Rochelle Humes, who are also encouraging people to get behind this year’s campaign titled Do Your Thing to raise funds.

The stars are championing the public to fundraise via everything from rambling to bake sales, what ever their preference, to raise money ahead of this year’s Children in Need appeal show on November 16.

The One Show presenter Alex said: “It’s that time of year again – when good people of the UK put out all the stops to fundraise for BBC Children in Need. Whether it’s by challenging yourself with a physical challenge or putting on your best fancy dress; whatever your thing is, do it and make a difference to disadvantaged children and young people’s lives right here in the UK.

Other celebrities involved include Peter Andre, The One Show’s Matt Baker, boyband The Vamps and TV presenter Radzi Chinyanganya.

Alex’s colleague Matt added: “BBC Children in Need is a charity incredibly close to my heart and I once again want to ask everyone across the UK to get involved and show their support,

“Together we can make an impact on the lives of children and young people who really do need our help.”
