BRAVE Amman Valley youngster Hannah Rose Poole has begun her fight against Leukaemia for the second time.

Hannah, of Glanaman, was first diagnosed with leukaemia in 2013 when she was three.

After a tough battle, parents Adam and Katrina took Hannah to what they thought was her final treatment session in 2016 where she rung the bell to signal the end of her treatment.

Two years later and the Poole family’s worst fears came true as they were told that Hannah’s Leukaemia had relapsed.

Kayleigh Jones, Hannah’s aunt, told The Guardian: “It has been an incredibly hard time for the whole family since we found out about the relapse in August.

“Either Adam or Katrina is with Hannah every day in Cardiff and we want to do as much as possible as a family to help them.

“Hannah is now having chemotherapy for two years to battle the relapse and the chemotherapy is much stronger and more dangerous than the first protocol.”

Hannah’s older sister Katie, 14, has decided to be brave like her sister and take part in a sponsored bungee jump.

Along with cousins Seena and Talia, the trio will be facing a 160ft drop in Birmingham next month.

“All the family has been affected by Hannah’s diagnoses and I’m really proud that Katie, Seena and Talia are doing this good deed as they all want to help her,” added Kayleigh.

A Charity Auction Ball will be held at the Mountain Gate, Tycroes on Saturday, November 24.

There will be hot Italian buffet, entertainment, auction, raffle and proceeds will be split between LATCH and Hannah Rose vs Leukaemia.

The event is adults only and dress code is black tie.
