Ammanford’s annual Gwyl y Twrch Trwyth Festival has been cancelled.

The fifth annual Boar Festival was planned to take place this Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6 but organisers have made the decision to cancel the festival.

This is the second time the festival has not gone ahead this year.

The event was originally set to be held on September 22 and September 23 but the council decided not to host the festival following a yellow weather on Met Office and postponed it to this weekend.

A spokesperson for the event said: "Due to the weather and condition of the park, the council have decided that the event has sadly been cancelled.

"It will not be re-scheduled again for this year, but will return next year.

"Again apologies, but the difficult decision had to be made again."
