Concerns have been raised following the closure of the only petrol station in Llandeilo.

The petrol station closed unexpectedly earlier this month and left motorists travelling to Ammanford and surrounding areas to fill up their cars.

One resident said: “I have used the petrol station for years and I went there to fill up during the weekend and it was closed.

“There was no notice and I had to drive over nine miles to Ammanford to put petrol in my car.

“I have to travel to Ammanford to visit the bank and now I have to go there to fill up my car. It is very inconvenient.”

The owners of the petrol station have responded to the concerns by announcing that the petrol station will be reopening in the near future.

“The business will hopefully be back open within the month after a major refit,” said the owner.

Cllr Edward Thomas told The Guardian: “It was sad to see the closure of the petrol station but news that it will be reopening soon is very good news for the community.”
