West Wales charity Lluest Horse and Pony Trust has received a surprise donation by an award winning Irish equine artist.

Tony O’Connor, who has won many awards including Best Creative Equestrian in 2013 and 2014, is kindly donating an original painting worth over £3,000 to Lleust Horse and Pony Trust in Llangadog.

The painting will be used as a raffle prize in the charity’s Open Day on 16th September where, along with potentially winning O’Connor’s painting, there will be a chance to meet their ponies, watch their popular Dog Show and look around a number of stalls.

Commenting on the generous donation, Lluest Trustee Rhiannon Pugh said: “we are absolutely thrilled to be able to offer this very special piece of art as a raffle prize. I know how sought-after Tony O Connor’s work is”

Pugh continued: “Every penny raised from the 750 raffle tickets on offer will go towards the care of our horses and ponies at a critical time as we head towards winter. We very much hope members of the public will choose to support us in this way and give themselves the chance of winning this unique and beautiful prize.”

Raffle tickets are £10 each and can be purchased online by visiting raffle.lluesthorseandponytrust.co.uk or members of the public can reserve their ticket by calling Lluest on 01550 740661.

Tickets can also be purchased in person at the charity’s Open Day on 16th September where the draw will take place. The Open Day is free entry and full details can be found on the charity’s website: www.lluesthorseandponytrust.co.uk.
