A brother and sister duo have been chosen to perform at a prestigious concert this weekend.

Llandovery College Prep School pupils Tomos and Alaw Price have been selected out of hundreds of applicants to perform with the highly renowned Only Kids Aloud choir at the annual BBC Last Night of the Proms held in Colwyn Bay on Saturday, September 8.

The siblings will share the stage with Welsh mezzo-soprano singer and songwriter Katherine Jenkins, musical theatre and television actor Lee Mead and BBC Young Musician Lauren Zhang.

The choir has seen choristers perform in Russia, Cape Town and shared the stage with the BBC National Chorus of Wales.

During the challenging auditions, Tomos and Alaw performed a solo for Tim Rhys-Evans MBE, Founder and Artistic Director of Only Kids Aloud and Niall Allen, a member of the Only Men Aloud choir.

They join Llandovery College Senior School pupil Eliana Brealey in the choir as she was one of the first children to join Only Kids Aloud.

They have attended residential courses in Cardiff and Glan Llyn under the watchful eye of Tim Rhys-Evans and his team of professional artists where they combine vocal training, choreography, dance and performance skills.

A spokespoerson for Llandovery College said: "All pupils are delighted to be performing and feel very privileged to be part of this magnificent choir and to have the opportunity to perform in this spectacular culmination of two months of music-making at the BBC."
