POLICE are searching for a missing man last seen in Upper Brynamman.

Colin Jones, 57, from Bridgend, is missing in the area.

The last sighting of Mr Jones' car was on the A4069, in Upper Brynamman at around 4.30pm yesterday.

A multi-agency search, involving police officers and dogs, the Western Beacons Mountain Search and Rescue Team and NPAS, carried out an extensive search of the area last night and are continuing the search this morning.

Anyone who has seen Mr Jones, or knows of his whereabouts, is asked to report information by calling 101.

UPDATE:

The missing man, Colin Jones has been found and taken to hospital for examination.

A spokesman for the police said: "Colin Jones, 57, from Bridgend has been located at the Black Mountains by the mountain rescue team.

"He is being taken to hospital for examination.

"Thank you to the public for your help with the appeal."
