Garnant County Councillor Kevin Madge is pleased to announce that a new Luncheon Club has been set up in the Amman Valley.
From Thursday, April 5, Cwmamman Day Centre will be hosting a weekly lunch club every Thursday where residents can attend and meet new faces.
The Luncheon Club will be similar to the club at Ysgol Y Bedol and is open to all pensioners.
Cllr Madge told The Guardian: “This news is exciting for the Amman Valley.
“The Day Centre users will be served at the normal time of 12pm, but the newer members will be served from 1pm.
“We are lucky to have Cwmamman Day Centre in our community, so lets hope residents take advantage of this new club.
“As people get older, they get lonely and this will be an ideal place to meet new people and make new friends.”
No assessment will be made, but booking is essential.
