A FORMER AMMANFORD church hall could be re-invented as antique store, if permission is granted by Carmarthenshire County Council planners.

Debra Rowlands, of Vintage Home Store, Ystradgynlais, is seeking permission to change the use of the former St Michaels Church hall on Wind Street into an antiques centre, which would see the retail sale of antiques, collectables, vintage and salvage items.

The hall, which is situated opposite the church and beside the Shopper’s World complex, would also have essential renovation works carried out to preserve its historic character, including repairs to woodwork, plaster and so on.

PLANS for changes at a Tycroes house will be considered by Carmarthenshire County Council.

Emma Knight is seeking permission to take off the existing roof structure at 87 Penygarn Road and replace it with attic roof structure with dormer windows to provide bedroom accommodation.

CARMARTHENSHIRE County Council will consider allowing an extension at Llandeilo home.

Permission is being sought by Catherine Davies for extensions to the north west facing elevation of Golwg Y Dyffryn, New Inn, to increase the size of front bedrooms, the re-arrangement of the kitchen and utility rooms and to create a guest bedroom with en-suite and lounge. The plans also feature a garage with storage space.

THE EDUCATION department of Carmarthenshire County Council is hoping to gain more time for a temporary classroom at a Llandeilo school.

Council planners will consider whether to allow a demountable building at Ysgol Teilo Sant, Rhosmaen, to remain for an extended amount of time.

Also submitted to the council is an application for a conservatory extension to the rear of 49 Brynlluan, Gorslas, from Mr Lawrence, and plans to convert the front garden of 4 Dyffryn Ug, Talley, to a front garden from Andrew White.

A FORMER Glanaman training workshop could become the new headquarters of a local fuel company if Carmarthenshire County Council approves a planning application.

An application for the change of use of the Green Unit at Riverside Industrial Estate has been received by the council from agent Shane Fairburn on behalf of Shane Williams.

The plans would see the workshop being converted into part retail and part office facility, the right side housing head offices, storage and a depot for a fuel delivery company, and the left a separate business; a new animal feeds store.

Permission for advertising signage outside has the building is also being sought.

A NEW holiday home could be created in Cwmgors if Carmarthenshire County Council approves the scheme.

An application for the change of use of a barn at Gelli Fawr Farm, Park Howard Road, was submitted by Joseph Spooner. The plans would see the barn converted into a holiday let with a new roof for existing agricultural buildings and an adjoining new greenhouse.
