NEXT week Pontardawe arts centre welcomes Comedian Stephen K Amos to the stage.

Fresh from total sell-out tours of Australia and New Zealand, as well as winning The Critics Award 2013 at the Perth International Festival, Stephen K Amos is back on the road with his brand new show The Spokesman.

The maestro of feel-good comedy, Stephen has had an interesting life so far but he is often asked to be a spokesman on certain matters. Why is that? Is he qualified to do this? What is it about spokesmen these days? They’re everywhere. Stephen will be looking at spokesmen and many other things besides in his excellent new show.

Stephen has just had his sitcom What Does The K Stand For? commissioned by BBC Radio 4, which he has co-written with Jonathan Harvey.

The story revolves around him growing up being black, funny and gay. Amos will narrate the series, which will transmit from Wednesday, November 27 and includes a Festive Christmas Special.

Also, his Radio 4 show: Life - An Idiot’s Guide has just been commissioned for a second series. Stephen had his autobiography published last year I Used To Say My Mum Was Shirley Bassey.

You can see Stephen K Amos at Pontardawe Arts Centre next Thursday, October 24 at 8pm. For tickets ring the box office on 01792 863722.
