Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006 that Natural Resources Wales is applying to Welsh Ministers for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of the River Loughor at the following National Grid References: SN 6231512635, SN 6231512629, SN 6231312622, SN 6231212615 and SN 6231112607, downstream of Tir-y-Dail Weir near Dyffryn Road, Tir-Y-Dail, Ammanford, SA18 3SY. This proposal is to facilitate fish passage over an existing weir using five pre-barrages. This may take time to process and there could be a charge. If you wish to request a copy of the application or comment on it, you must do so in writing, quoting the name of the applicant and Reference Number PAN-014931 to Natural Resources Wales, Permitting Service, Cambria House, 29 Newport Road, Cardiff, CF24 OTP or by email to

by no later than 30/03/22.
After expiry of the period for representations, Natural Resources Wales will be entitled to the grant of a licence which authorises the proposal which shall be deemed to be granted, unless the Welsh Ministers, either in consequence of any representations made with respect to the proposal or otherwise, directs or requires an application to be made to them.
