The Annual General Meeting and Social Evening of Llangadog Gardening Club will be held on Wednesday January 27 in the YMCA Hall at Llangadog Community Centre. Please note early starting time of 7 o’clock. For more details contact Gwen Evans on 01550 777813.

Llandovery Young Farmers club with support items from Llangadog, Dyffryn Cothi and Llanfynydd YFC’s have set a new date for the concert they had to postpone on January 9, due to bad weather conditions. The concert will now take place on Saturday, February 6 at Ysgol Pantycelyn hall, at 7.30pm.

The next meeting of Llandeilo and district gardening club will be in the Civic hall on Thursday, February 4 at 7.30pm and will be a Quiz and Social Evening with Wine and Cheese. New members are welcome to join the club.

Strong requests for Llandovery swimming pool to be available to the public at weekends have resulted in partial success and it is now open on Sundays for a trial period from 10am to 3pm to gauge popularity. So it is up to us to use it!

The Royal British Legion annual armistice parade will take place on Sunday, November 8. All interested parties are asked to assemble outside the Post Office at 10.15am. The parade will commence at 10.30am and make its way down to Llandingat Church for a service of remembrance. Following the service the parade will reassemble and return to the cenotaph for the roll of honour, laying of wreaths and last post.
