Cross Hands library disruption

Recent disruption was experienced at our local Library involving Telephone and internet Communications, this resulting from the replacement BT Telephone Pole work undertaken nearby.

Country music/dance event

The monthly Country Music/Dance event for August, held at Tumble Hall on the earlier re-arranged date due to unforeseen circumstances of August 17, attracted four musical/vocal artistes - “Black Steel”, “Sherrie”, plus a guest artiste a former Country Circuit Artiste.

Tenth annual country music festival

The annual Gwendraeth valley country music festival is being organised by Gareth Lloyd Williams, for the 10th year, and is scheduled to occur atTumble hall over the three days of Friday, June 15, Saturday 16, and Sunday 17.

Damaged bus shelter

It has been noted that the public bus shelter situated on Carmarthen Road in the vicinity of Bancyfynnon estate andour Health centre has been damaged and is no minus at leasttwo complete upper panes of glass/perspex panelling.

January country wester/music night

This months country music dance evening, organised by Gareth Lloyd Williams is scheduled to take place this Friday, January 6 at Tumble hall venue commencing at 8pm, doors open at 7.30pm.

Dog litter bins enquiries

It is understood that the lack of village- sited dog litter bins, from our surrounding village area, frequented by dog-walkers and not solely the parks, reported to both Llannon community council and Carmarthen county council personnel, some weeks ago, has in fact been raised at the last community council meeting and was requested to be relayed to the county council parks department. No definite result on the matter has been received from the county council to date and further enquiries are being made to pursue this overall area and overlooked village problem.

Remembrance service at Bethel chapel

A remembrance service will be held at Bethel Baptist Chapel for Mr Goronwy Owen formerly of Pen Park Tumble on September 20 at 10.30am. All welcome.
