A capacity attendance was paid to a very successful evening concert, featuring Irish superstar Miss Mary Duff at Tumble hall on March 6.

The Annual Spring lunch was provided by the Temple in Penygroes. The traditional menu, Cawl with cheese followed by Pear crumble Bara brith and Welsh cakes.

Our last meeting was held on December 1. Our entertainment was provided by the younger school children from Gorslas school. They sang and one young lady played instruments. Everyone enjoyed their visit very much. The children enjoyed the lucky dip and afternoon tea afterwards.

Weather permitting, the January country music/dance evening is scheduled to take place at Tumble hall premises this Friday, January 29 with musical performances by two individual and established popular visiting Country Music artistes Alan Williams and also Karl Jennings.

Like all residents, our enthusiastic local area whist supporters greeted the clearance of the recent vast blanketed area of snow and ice with great relief, for among the many rewards was their ability to resume their attendance at their weekly whist drive session, which was well supported, on Monday, January 18.

The popular Monday evning weekly whist drive events have recommenced in the village and the first session took place on Monday, October 5. Winners were: Top Score: I Davies. Top Gent: G Thomas. Top Lady: M Harris. Lowest Score: R Phillips and Longest Sitter: T Morgan. Evening raffle winners were G A Thomas and D A Gardiner. Further enquiries can be obtained by contacting 01269 842581.

Cross Hands local monthly country music/dancing evening, organised by G Lloyd Williams, takes place at Tumble hall on Friday, October 23, in the company of two independent guest artists, country music vocalists from North Wales, Tudor Jones, and also Dave Lee Vaughan.
