The word yoga is of great significance - it is derived from the Sanskrit root Yuj (unite). Yoga means union, identification - yoga stands for physical and metal wellbeing.
Yoga consists of Asana’s or postures for developing strength, flexibility of joints and releases toxins fromthe muscles and joints whilst improving posture and tones the body. Yoga also boots the immune system and promotes relaxation.
Pranayama controls breathing, calms the mind, lowers blood pressure and increased more oxygen to flow throughout the body. It helps to deal with anxiety and stress.
Yoga is for all ages and should not be excluded for those who find it difficult to do Asana’s on a mat, Yoga can be done on the chair.
