The next meeting will be at 7pm, Monday, October 19, at the Ammanford Evangelical Church, Wind Street (former English Wesleyan Church), opposite the Welsh Hospitals and Salvation Army charity shops.

The speaker will be John Skinner, chairman of Ystalyfera Heritage Society, who will speak on cinema at the coalface. His talk will be about the building, history and development of the miners’ halls and cinemas in the Amman and Swansea valleys: Cwmllynfell, Brynamman, Gwaun Cae Gurwen, Garnant, Ammanford, Pontardawe, Ystradgynlais and Abercrave.
