Saron senior citizens

9:30am Sunday 21st March 2010

The group met on March 9 and eighteen members enjoyed a social afternoon. Best wishes went to those who were unable to attend through illness, all are wished a speedy recovery with a special mention for Blod who has recently had a fall. A moment of silence was held in memory of Verna Meredith and the club’s condolences go to her family. Birthday wishes went to Rosalie who, with Tony is also celebrating a golden wedding anniversary this month. Three members provided raffle prizes which were won by Eva, Betty and Agnes. Agnes gave a very interesting talk about the history of the club.

Ammanford town council are hosting an Eisteddfod on Saturday, March 27 at Christian Temple Chapel, High Street, Ammanford. Commencing: Local 10am - Open 2pm. Light refreshments available. Admission £3 adults, under 18’s 50p.

Easter Bingo

Carmarthen East and Dinefwr Labour Party are holding an Easter family prize bingo evening on Friday March 19 upstairs at the Ammanford Miners Welfare Club.

Tycroes ladies group

At the AGM at the village hall on June 20. Mrs Anne James presided and welcome all. Eileen our faithful treasurer read out our financial figures , which were excellent.

Supper dance

The Royal Air Forces Association (Ammanford branch 1208) are to hold an annual St Valentine supper dance on Friday, February 12 at the Aman Centre, Ammanford, 7pm for 7.30pm. Supper to be served at 7.30pm. Dancing to the very popular duo ‘Bus Stop’. For tickets please contact secretary Gerry Williams on 01269 594115.
