Lion President Barry Lawrence reported that the Club had enjoyed a successful joint Charter night Dinner with Gower and Lougher Lions at Park Y Scarlets to celebrate their 42nd anniversary.

Five local schoolshave takenup the offer of taking part in our Duck Race on July 21 to raise funds for their schools.

Report from the sub committee thatTheAmmanValleyFestival of Choirs on Septemmber 9 has been well supported by local business’s who have placed advertisements within the Festival Programme and eight choirs have agreed to sing in slots throughout the afternoon.

The Local Authority has been very supportive along with many other people and organisations.

This is a big event for theAmmanValley andwehope it will beanongoing project.

Clubmemberswerelookingforward to the presentation by Amanda Skull, bird watch ambassadorforBTO.

Plans were prepared for the Club to attend the Big Day Out with fundraising games on July 14. Some of the clubs members would be joining the Friends of Tenovus at the Sunderban for a fundraising dinner. Final arrangements were agreed for the Lions Sponsored Amman Valley 10K road race which takes placeonSundayJuly8.
