REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICES - Remembrance services will take place in the village on Sunday, November 10, at the Cenotaph situated in the Cross Hands Memorial Gardens, (Llandeilo Road) with a service at 2.30pm, conducted by our Parish Associate Priest Rev Dr Brian Jones and attended by Civic Dignitaries, local council/business/organisations, service representatives and the public.
A public service will follow at St Anne's Church, Heol Bryngwili at 3pm conducted by the Parish Associate Priest, Dr Rev Brian Jones.
EVENING OF CLAIRVOYANCE - A number of tickets for the forthcoming locally arranged evening of Clairvoyance featuring Spiritualist Medium Michelle Morgan, and guest Keith Kettle and scheduled for Saturday, November 9, at 7pm remain available and these, plus other details of the event can be obtained by telephoning 07973 669442 or 07968 941685.
CHARITABLE EVENT - Local popular vocalist Alize Adell is staging an evening of live music, in aid of the Llys Fechan residents Amenities fund on Wednesday, November 13. The event takes place at Cefneithin RFC at 8pm. Tickets, priced at £5 are available from Cefneithin RFC or Llys Fechan or on the door on the night.
TY BRYNGWYN HOSPICE FESTIVE OF LIGHT - The annual Ty Bryngwyn festival of light ceremony is to take place in the St Elli Centre, Llanelli on Friday, November 15 at 6.30pm. The officiant for the evening will be the Rev David Jones of Greenfield Chapel.
The festival of light was set-up by the Ty Bryngwyn hospice committee some years ago to commemorate the memory of a loved one by sponsoring one of the white lights in the St Elli Christmas lighting display, with the sponsorship proceeds donated to the Ty Bryngwyn Hospice appeal fund and all names 'sponsored' are recorded in a book of remembrance which is lodged in Llanelli town hall for the following year.
Sponsorship forms with a closing date of December 31 for entries are available from secretary Mrs S Thomas on 01554 753289 who will assist with all other enqurires regarding the appeal.
