Garnant British Legion

The Garnant branch of the Royal British Legion will hold their first meeting of the New Year on Tuesday, February 2 at the usual time, at Garnant club.

Carnival meeting

A meeting of Cwmaman carnival committee will be held at Ysgol y Bedol, Garnant at 5pm on Thursday, February 4. It is hoped that local parents can attend at this time, along with pubs, clubs, youth groups, local organisations and group. If you attended the autumn meetings, please come along again. Arrangements for the Cwmaman carnival, scheduled for July 3, will be finalised.

Amman Valley camera club

Amman Valley camera club next meet tonight (Wednesday) at the Community Centre Cwmgors, 7pm meeting to start at 7.30pm. Tonight’s meeting will be a practical (printing and mounting) part one. With part two taking place at the next meeting on February 3.

Line dancing returns

The Valley Stompers line-dancers have resumed after the new year break, on Tuesdays at Gwaun Cae Gurwen Community centre. Beginners 7pm to 8pm; Improvers 8pm to 9pm. New faces are welcome. Contact Ronnie on 01269 822308 for more details.

After the recent bad weather, Gwaun Cae Gurwen Pensioners’ branch will be hoping for better weather for their next meeting, on Wednesday, February 3 at 6.30pm at the Community hall, GCG, when they will welcome Sian’s Fashions to demonstrate womens, mens and childrens’ clothes.

Car boot sale
