The group met on March 9 and eighteen members enjoyed a social afternoon. Best wishes went to those who were unable to attend through illness, all are wished a speedy recovery with a special mention for Blod who has recently had a fall. A moment of silence was held in memory of Verna Meredith and the club’s condolences go to her family. Birthday wishes went to Rosalie who, with Tony is also celebrating a golden wedding anniversary this month. Three members provided raffle prizes which were won by Eva, Betty and Agnes. Agnes gave a very interesting talk about the history of the club.

Chair welcomed members to the club meeting on March 10. She also welcomed back Matti Cowell, one of the longest standing members who had been away for some time.

Advance notice is given that Amman United Rugby club is to resurrect the tea cafe during Christian Aid Week in May. They will be held on May 10 and 11 at the clubhouse, all proceeds to Christian Aid.

The Annual Spring lunch was provided by the Temple in Penygroes. The traditional menu, Cawl with cheese followed by Pear crumble Bara brith and Welsh cakes.
