Country Dance concert

Weather permitting, the January country music/dance evening is scheduled to take place at Tumble hall premises this Friday, January 29 with musical performances by two individual and established popular visiting Country Music artistes Alan Williams and also Karl Jennings.

Cross Hands whist drives

Like all residents, our enthusiastic local area whist supporters greeted the clearance of the recent vast blanketed area of snow and ice with great relief, for among the many rewards was their ability to resume their attendance at their weekly whist drive session, which was well supported, on Monday, January 18.

Gorslas pensioners

Our last meeting was held on December 1. Our entertainment was provided by the younger school children from Gorslas school. They sang and one young lady played instruments. Everyone enjoyed their visit very much. The children enjoyed the lucky dip and afternoon tea afterwards.

Canal society

The City and county of Swansea have granted the society the use of the disused canal museum in Coed Gwilym Park. They aim to use the outside (caged) area to develop an exhibition of canal artefacts.

Councillor advice surgery

County Cllr Kevin Madge will be available at Ysgol y Bedol, Garnant this Friday, January 29 from 5pm to 6pm for his latest advice surgery. No appointment needed.

Brynamman pensioners

The ladies section will re-commence their meetings on Wednesday, February 3 2010 at 2pm. New members will be welcome.

Brynamman Rainbows
