Ammanford Community Theatre’s first ever production was the sell-out pantomime Cinderella which attracted over 600 people to the Miners’ Theatre last Christmas, but now the group are back with their second production which is the World Premiere of the brand new comedy Last Tango In Ammanford.

Dai Evans has a boring life, boring job and boring marriage. But online he has created several fantasy personas which he’s used to flirt with several different women.

These personas he’s created include an American magician, a German ballroom dancer and an Italian Opera Star, but on the day of his 50th birthday three of these women decide to show up at his house thinking they are the “one for him”.

This hilarious new comedy shows how Dai, with the help of his friend Gavin try and hide these three uninvited guests from each other, his wife, his daughter, his mother in law and his boss!

Why not visit the show, which is taking to the stage from June 8-10, for a laugh filled night out discovering whether Dai will really have one Last Tango in Ammanford.

Last Tango in Ammanford is written by Saron based local playwright Dave Jenkins who is also directing the production.

Dave, who has had many plays performed by several Theatre Company’s throughout the UK, said: "We are looking forward to premiering our latest production at the Miners' Theatre and now.

"The show has never been performed before and local residents can expect to hear local locations mentioned in the show such as Tycores, Penybanc and the bandstand."

Dave is also an actor and will be appearing in the production alongside the local cast who have been working hard to put on a production that is set to be a memorable night out.

Tickets are available now through the Theatrau Sir Gar and Ammanford Library.
