THE YOUNG people of Mess Up The Mess Theatre Company based in Ammanford are back with an original take on the Christmas Show ‘Sherlock Holmes and the Crackin’ Christmas Case’.

The production is inspired by a short Sherlock Holmes story about a missing blue gem that was hidden in a goose before the goose was stolen.

Shoppers World is in the grips of an epic festive mystery and Sherlock Holmes, along with his trusty sidekick Dr Watson have been called in the crack this Christmas case.

Expect the unexpected as clues are found around every corner. Nobody is beyond suspicion, including the audience. Get on the case this Christmas with a unique take the classic Christmas show and experience fun-filled family festivities.

Artist Director Sarah Jones said:"The young people all aged 11-25 have been working alongside professional theatre maker Anja Conti to create every aspect of the show themselves from the script and the characters to the music and the design.

"Audiences were charmed by last year’s promenade show based on a Christmas Carol so the young people were keen to explore this style of theatre more but thought audiences would enjoy the warmth of an inside venue in Shoppers World.

"All businesses the company has approached have been keen to get involved and have made the young people feel very welcome."

Doors open at 30 minutes before the performances so audience members can soak up the atmosphere and so some festive shopping.

Mess up the Mess present Sherlock Holmes and the Crackin’ Christmas Case from Thursday December 15 until Saturday, December 17.

The performance starts at 7.30pm on the Thursday and Friday and at 4pm on the Saturday.
