CLASSIC rock legend Dave Mason has announced a series of UK dates to his Traffic Jam World Tour. The nine date UK tour starts February 23rd and tickets go on sale Friday, December 30 at 9am.

One of the evergreens of rock, Brit Dave Mason, with his band, goes back in time to the start of his career with Traffic as well as performing songs that launched his solo career over five decades ago.

Traffic began as a band with Steve Winwood, when the two of them were just teenagers, little knowing that the music they made would have such an impact this many years later.

Following his stint with Traffic, Dave would go on to a highly successful career as songwriter, guitarist and solo artist. In 2004 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.

Known for such hits as Feelin’ Alright (recorded first by Traffic in 1968 then Joe Cocker in 1969), Only You Know and I Know and Hole in My Shoe, Dave has performed and recorded with such legends as Paul McCartney, George Harrison, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Derek and the Dominos and Delaney and Bonnie.

During the 60s his contribution and involvement to the popular music scene was immense.

Featuring hits and deep cuts from iconic Traffic albums, stories from Dave, plus new material and a selection of classic Mason music, Dave Mason’s Traffic Jam is a show for all fans of rock and 60s culture to witness up close a gifted songwriter, a distinctive vocalist, as well as a masterful guitarist.

Since launching in 2014, Mason’s Traffic Jam show has been garnering critical praise across the board.

On returning to the UK for these dates, Dave Mason said, “ I‘m really looking forward to playing in Britain again after all this time. It’s where it all started for me.

"I’ve been doing Traffic Jam in North America for like three and a half years now. I didn’t plan for this show to go that long but it did. It was great and it was fun and now I want to play it for my fellow Brits.”

The tour stops at St David’s Hall in Cardiff on March 7 2017. Tickets are available from venues and ticketline.co.uk.
