THE annual Royal British Legion Charity Gala Concert is heading to the Lyric in Carmarthen next month.

The concert is being produced for the Royal British Legion by Loud Applause Productions in aid of the Poppy Appeal in South West Wales.

Organisers are very excited and honoured to feature three well known bands, The Band of the Prince of Wales's Division Military Band, the City of Swansea Pipe Band and the 215 (City of Swansea) Squadron Corps of Drums in this year's concert.

Sharing the stage with the bands will be brothers tenor Wynne Evans and baritone Mark Llewelyn Evans – which will be the icing on the cake.

Director of Loud Applause Productions, Cerith Owens, said: “To have these artists perform together at the Lyric, a place so close to their hearts, is a big coup as they are all such busy people but they felt it was an honour to be invited.

“This is going to be a very big concert this year in support of the poppy appeal in South West Wales. The evening will end with the poignant 'The Tribute to the Fallen' and the Service of Remembrance'.”

Tickets are selling fast so why not go support this wonderful but poignant concert on Saturday, October 1 at 7pm. Tickets are available from Carmarthenshire Theatres box office 0845 226 3510
