SINGLETON Park, Swansea is set to host a stellar line-up of singing stars this summer.

International stars Alfie Boe, Collabro, Rebecca Ferguson and Sophie Evans take to the stage with local hero compere Mal Pope for Summer in Singleton on the day after Paolo Nutini thrills the Swansea audience.

Speaking ahead of the event Alfie said, “It’s always a joy to perform in Wales, the audiences there are great and love good music with a passion. Looking forward to my return to Swansea.”

Summer in Singleton is promoted by the award-winning Orchard group, who brought the Kings of Leon and JLS to Liberty Stadium.

Orchard director Pablo Janczur said: “This is a stellar line-up with broad family appeal we’ve pulled together for Swansea on the longest weekend of the summer.

“We’ve got Paolo Nutini on the Saturday, and Alfie and friends on the Sunday to provide some top class entertainment in the lovely setting of Singleton Park, so we hope people bring along a blanket to sit on and have a great day out.”

Councillor Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration, said: “This weekend of fantastic live music is one of the highlights of our new Enjoy Swansea events programme. It’s a vote of confidence in Swansea as a leading city of events that we’ve been able to work in such close partnership with The Orchard Media and Events Group to bring live musicians of this quality to a stunning setting like Singleton Park. The diversity of the performers over the two days will appeal to a range of different musical tastes.”
