Money for Nothing is Europe’s premier tribute to Dire Straits and are performing at Swansea Grand Theatre on Saturday, September 20.
Mimicking the original ‘Sultans of Swing’ the result is a performance that makes Money For Nothing a must see for any Dire Straits or rock fan.
They have performed all over the world, and have studied Dire Straits in great depth in order to be as close as possible to the real thing.
Featuring all the hits from their first ever single, through to ‘Brothers in Arms‘, this show will leave you absolutely mesmerised!
Fronting the band is the brilliant guitarist and Mark Knopfler sound-alike, Aled Williams, and behind him, the line-up features top-class and experienced musicians.
Dire Straights’ unique sound drew from a variety of musical influences, including jazz, folk, and blues.
Despite the prominence of punk rock during the band's early years, their later stripped-down sound contrasted with punk, demonstrating a more rootsy influence.
Their best selling album Brothers in Arms sold over 30 million copies, making it the fourth best selling album in UK chart history.
“Make no mistake…they are good – VERY GOOD!” The Observer.
