The Scarlets are teaming up with the Western Telegraph, Milford Mercury and South Wales Guardian this season to bring supporters in west Wales all the latest news and developments from Parc y Scarlets.

As part of the new agreement, the newspapers will be running a series of exclusives with inside information from three of the Scarlets rising stars - Dominic Day, Daniel Evans and Jonathan Davies.

As part of the new partnership, the newspapers will be showing pride in their true colour - 'Scarlet' this season with a series of joint promotional campaigns in support of the rugby region ahead of key matches and events at Parc y Scarlets.

The newspapers will be paying special attention to the progress made by three up and coming Scarlets stars and West Wales heroes, Dominic Day, Daniel Evans and Jonathan Davies as they do battle in the Heineken Cup, Magners League and Anglo Welsh Cup.

Dom, Jon and Dan will bring readers all the latest news and gossip on the playing side with a series of columns and blogs exclusively written for the Western Telegraph, Milford Mercury and South Wales Guardian - starting next week!

Scarlets' commercial director, Rupert Moon said: "Our off-field activity this season is all about strengthening and building community links throughout the region and that includes strong partnerships with the media that serve our communities.

"Our focus this season is 'welcome to the Scarlets family' and we are looking at ways to encourage more and more people from across our region to connect with us and be part of the match day at Parc y Scarlets week in week out. "We will be working closely with the Western Telegraph, Milford Mercury and South Wales Guardian to ensure Scarlets supporters are kept up to date with the latest news and match day promotions as well as bringing them the latest information on the players from their areas.

"This is good news for all involved and a big step forward as we build a higher profile throughout west Wales by linking up with these highly successful local newspapers."

Commercial manager, Mark Sainsbury of Newsquest West Wales, which owns all three newspapers said: "We are delighted to support the Scarlets and work in close partnership with the rugby region to bring our readers exclusive stories that can't be found anywhere else.

"The Scarlets have great traditions and heritage and are flag-bearers for the development of sport and culture and we want to get behind them as they look to further their profile in this area and connect-up with their supporters in west Wales.

"We will be following the Scarlets progress very closely this season and take this opportunity to wish all the players, coaches and off field staff all the best for a successful season."
