Delight as Ammanford 10k road race returns

THE Ammanford 10k Road Race is set for a triumphant return next month.

The annual race, sponsored byAmmanford Lions Club and held in conjunction with Amman Valley Harriers, is due to be back on the streets on Sunday, July 8.

Open to anyone aged 15 or over, the race includes open male and female categories as well as age-related groupings.

There are also team categories for three runners.

The first 150 finishers will receive a commemorative Tshirt.

Entry to the evenbt costs £6 for Welsh Athletics members and £8 for non-affiliates.

The race is due to start at 11am from Ammanford Recreation Ground, which will open from 9.30am on the day.
