Congratulations to former policeman Martin Jones who rushed to the game from Brecon after being involved in the Welsh Police singles tournament, where he took the cup after a marathon final of 28 ends lasting more than two hours.

The previous day he was involved in the police pairs final with Ammanford captain Martin Henry, the duo losing narrowly to a Gwent pair, one of them being Ammanford’s new signing Andy Hillier.
