LLANDYBIE Tennis Club’s three senior teams were in action during the week and all three won their matches.

The ladies team travelled to Neath Tennis Club and won the match by six events to nil.

The pairings for Llandybie were captain Helen Morris and Chloe Alpine, Helena Nicholas and Rachel Davies, and Daphne Jones and Hazel Davies.

The Sunday match at home to Rhondda was conceded by the visitors as they could not field a side.

The men’s firsts travelled to Cardiff Castle Tennis Club and won their game by four events to two.

Captain Aled Griffiths and Craig Armstrong won two events and the pairing of Matthew Jones and Mathew Davies won one event, as did Rhodri James and Chris Gray.

The men’s second team were at home to Llandeilo Tennis Club and won their game by five events to one.

Pairings of Emyr Nicholas and Chris Gray won two events, as did the pairing of Iwan Nicholas and Robert Smith.

The third pairing of Matthew Meredith and Jonathon Harries won one event.

The matches were supported by Nicholas Marketing.

The next matches for the first and second teams will be against Llanelli, home for the firsts and away for the seconds. The ladies team will be away to Swansea Tennis Club.
