Not a good day for Llandeilo, who needed to get their form back quickly. They should have been 3-0 up by half-time, but credit to Tumble, who came to Llandeilo and defended well to come away winners.
In the first half, Llandeilo lost their centre-back Joe Squires and David Bevan (who has just returned from injury) after he took another blow to the knee, causing him problems. Llandeilo dominated the first half but couldn’t make any headway. The second half started much the same for Llandeilo, but Tumble soon increased their attacks and if it hadn’t been for Llandeilo keeper Mathew Thomas, who made some amazing saves, Llandeilo could have been 2-0 down. With 15 minutes left in the game, it was Tumble who opened the score after a mistake in the Llandeilo defence.
Shortly after, Tumble were awarded a penalty after it was deemed the goalkeeper had fouled a Tumble player and they were soon 2-0 up.
Llandeilo tried in vain to claw themselves back and were awarded a penalty, but failed to capitalise.
Llandeilo had one more attack and were awarded a consolation goal after Alun Jones finished in style.
It was too late for Llandeilo and the final whistle was blown.
Man of the Match was Peter King.
