Cwmamman United U14s came home champions after winning the West Wales U14 Cup.

In a thrilling final, they defeated Carmarthen Stars U14s 3-2.

The game got off to a quick start with Cwmamman swiftly on the attack, resulting in Flynn Williams securing an early lead within two minutes.

However, Carmarthen retaliated with a spectacular strike from their number 11, leaving the scores level at half-time, despite Cwmamman's strong defence.

The second half saw Cwmamman once again start strong.

Despite a setback with Sam Williams being replaced due to injury by Harrison Llewellyn-Bray, they pushed on.

A twist in the game saw Carmarthen take the lead 51 minutes in, pushing Cwmamman to regroup and apply pressure.

Following a saved attempt by Jordan Lewis, Harrison scooped up a loose ball and scored a fantastic first-time shot, levelling the score at 2-2.

The tide turned for Cwmamman in the last minute of the match when Flynn pounced on a loose ball on the edge of the box.

Displaying fantastic control, he outpaced a defender, lifted the ball over the Carmarthen goalkeeper, and scored the eventual winning goal for Cwmamman, leading to jubilant celebrations from the travelling supporters.

Cwmamman's defensive duo, Daniel Hutton and Liam Leonard, also played key roles in fending off Carmarthen's advancing attempts, with Scott Wiggly making a critical save in the final moments of the match to prevent extra time.

After a tense nine minutes of added time, the final whistle was blown, and celebrations erupted for the deserving in Cwmamman side.

Notably, the Cwmamman U14s showed their appreciation for Carmarthen Stars for their contribution to a nail-biting cup final.
