A local rugby club has announced the passing of their former chairman Dennis Williams.
Mr Williams played for Kidwelly Rugby Club and was chairman for over 20 years before receiving life membership.
Kidwelly RFC Social Club posted on Facebook: “It is with great sadness we have to announce the passing of former chairman Dennis Williams.
“We acknowledge Dennis’s supreme dedication to Kidwelly RFC. From playing to committee for over 20 years, and duly receiving life membership.
“A huge loss to us without doubt. To Dennis’s family and friends, we send our sincere condolences.”
Tributes have also poured in on the post from people who knew Mr Williams.
Colin Jacob said: “A true friend and work colleague. Having known him for over 50 years, I can honestly say he was a true gentleman. RIP Dennis.
Ceiron John Evans added: “Club legend. Lovely bloke. Will be missed. RIP Dennis.
“What a man! RIP Den,” posted Alex Davies.
“He’ll be missed,” wrote Kim Hulance.
