Llandybie Tennis Club ladies played their last match of their fixtures in the South Wales League on Sunday and won their match against Bridgend Tennis Club by six events to nil.

Winning combinations on the day were Kerry Williams and Michelle Morgan; Eryl Davies and Elysia Beynon and Rachel Davies and Daphne Jones. The mens team finished their summer season with two matches in the week, the match against Virgin Active, Llandarcy was a three event each game, but Virgin Active won the event on a count back by seven sets to six sets. Iwan Nicholas and Sam Ewens won their two events, Iestyn Davies and Callum Ewens won one event and the pairing of Chris Harris and John Lavery lost their events in third set tie breaks. The mens team travelled to Llanelli Tennis Club for their last match and won that match by six events to nil. The winning pairings were Iwan Nicholas and Mathew Rees, and Iestyn Davies and Callum Ewens. Matches were supported by the Red Lion Llandybie. The ladies finished third in their league missing out on the play offs to the Premier Division. The men also finished in third place missing out on automatic promotion to the First Division. The league season has been a success to the club considering that key players have been missing throughout the campaign for the men and the womens teams.
