KRISTIAN Llewellyn and Alan James won for Ammanford’s Snooker World A in a 5-2 loss at Pontarddulais Workmens’ in the Llanelli and District Snooker League first division.
Mike Footman, Duane Griffiths (44 break), Adam Griffiths (29) and C Matthews won for Bont while Anthony Krysa made a fine 56 break in his frame defeat.
New Lodge A maintained the top spot after a 6-1 victory against Cross Hands B thanks Adrian Dix, D Oliver, P Jones, Mark John and Mike Wood. Only Nigel Harris’ win avoided the whitewash.
Morfa stay second after a similar 6-1 success against a depleted Tycroes RFC A, for whom just Martin Davies won.
Elsewhere, Burry Port Legion edged a 4-3 win at Llandybie Social, whose frame-winners were T Walters, Roger Morgan (38) and Wyn Major.
Matchroom Reds posted a 4-3 success against Llandybie RFC. Dylan Jones, Andrew Williams and Liam McGhee won for the latter.
Damien Morgan, Craig Rees and Wyn Davies struck for Pontyberem, beaten 4-3 by Pont Cons A. Martin Tucker (60 break), Paul Doughton (39) and Anthony Lewis came out on top for Bont.
Burry Port Reading Room Reds sprang a shock in Division Two with a 5-2 win against leaders Great Mountain, Tumble, whose winners were J Griffiths and Jason Putt.
Second-placed Electric B lost 5-2 to Garnant Club where Steve Lewis, Mike Hopkins and Paul Davies won for the latter.
Meanwhile, Llanelli Cons B sealed a 5-2 win against Penygroes RFC, whose winning duo were Paul Garritty and Jeff Jones (29).
Llanesco earned a 6-1 victory against Electric C, while Bryn A were convincing 6-1 winners over Reading Room Blues.
Llanelli Cons A won 4-3 at Snooker World B, for whom Andrew Whitfield, Alan Ashmond and Callum Jackson won.
Third division leaders Ponthenri Social defeated Upper Tumble Reds 6-1 with wins from Jeff Howells, Kevin Lewis, Verdun Lewis, Robert Regolla and S Rees - only Gerry Keaney averted the whitewash defeat.
Steffan Davies and M Davies were on song for Tycroes RFC B in a 5-2 loss to Gorseinon Workmens. Mike Dodd, Roy Wilcox, Tudor Lloyd and Mike Davies won for the Brighton Road side.
Cross Hands defeated New Lodge B 4-3 courtesy of Gary Stead, Mike Rees and Hywel Pritchard. Archie Davies, Roy Morgan and Terry Morgan won for Lodge.
Elsewhere, Calsonic Rivals edged an aggregate 4-3 win at Pont Cons B, whose winning trio were Geraint Thomas, Steve Williams and Hugh Williams.
