Welsh League Division Two

Penrhiwceiber Rangers 0

Cwmamman United 5

Cwmamman ran out worthy winners after a comfortable away victory at Penrhiwceiber.

The home side began well and could have scored inside ten minutes but Mark Snell pulled off a great save.

The visitors began to dominate possession and should have taken the lead themselves when a great long ball by captain Nathan McNeil found Liam Soroka who's chip over the goalkeeper went agonisingly wide.

Cwmamman eventually took the lead when a 20-yard shot by David Brown after 30 minutes left the home keeper with no chance.

Five minutes later a great cross by Cory Saunders found Steven Hughes unmarked in the penalty area to guide a pinpoint header into the roof of the net.

Gareth Morrell should have made it three before the break but his shot went just wide of the post.

It was a similar start to the second period with Snell pulling of a fine save inside the opening 10 minutes.

Cwmamman then got their third when Soroka squared for Saunders to fire home.

Cwmamman brought on Jordan VIckers and Brieg Matthews as they took control of the game with Hughes, Brown and man of the match Craig Spring, dominating the midfield.

Another great run by Soroka saw Matthews claim the visitors’ fourth from five yards out.

He doubled his tally on 85 minutes when his initial shot was saved but he was alert enough to follow in and head into the empty net.
