Snooker World A enjoyed success on the road in the Llanelli Snooker First division when they claimed a 4-3 win at Pontyberem, courtesy of Elwyn Lewis, Anthony Krysa, Jamie Gimblett and Kristian Llewellyn. Kevin Sellwood and Alun Harris replied.
Elsewhere, New Lodge A earned a third successive victory, defeating Legion Whites 4-3, thanks to Stuart Cole, Mark John, A Dicks and Jonny Wilcox.
Morfa posted a 5-2 success over Cross Hands B, whose winning duo were Alan Parnell and Alex Dickie.
Matchroom Reds edged home 4-3 against Pont Cons A - Simon Williams, Kyle Stein and Anthony Lewis struck for Bont.
Adam Griffiths, Jonny Ball, Duane Griffiths and Steve Dunn gave Pontarddulais Workmens a 4-3 victory against Tycroes RFC A, who hit back via Keith Jones and Tim Lewis.
In the big derby in Division Two, Llanelli Cons B convincingly beat Cons A 6-1,while,Paul Davies and Lyn Morgan helped Garnant Club edge a 4-3 aggregate win at Snooker World B.
Bryn & Trallwm A defeated Electric C 5-2.
Paul Crippin, Jeff Jones and Marc Walters edged Penygroes RFC home 4-3 at Llanesco while Great Mountain, Tumble, won 4-3 at Electric B, thanks to Anthony Stephens, James Bradley, Shaun Lewis and Jason Putt.
In Division Three, Mike Dodd’s fine 63 break was a highlight in Gorseinon Workmens 5-2 win at Cross Hands A, while M Davies, Arnallt Evans and Roy Lewis were on song for Tycroes RFC B, edged out 4-3 by visiting Loughor - for the latter, Matthew Donald, Mark Jones and James Edworthy won.
Upper Tumble Reds suffered a 7-0 hammering at the hands of Pont Cons B, for whom Lee O’Neill, Hugh Williams, Phil Evans, Justin Williams, Dai Porter and Geraint Thomas completed the rout.
Calsonic Rivals registered a 4-3 victory at Matchroom Whites while Trimsaran B were beaten 5-2 by New Lodge B. The Lodge’s winning quartet were Archie Davies, Roy Thomas, Leigh Lewis and George Langford.
