South Wales Premier League – Seconds West
Pontarddulais beat Ammanford by seven wickets
Ammanford seconds skipper Rhys Culley was confident enough to bat first when he won the toss at Pontarddulais.
His confidence in himself was certainly not misplaced as he scored a fine unbeaten 96 as the mainstay of Ammanford's 221 for five, three of which fell to Bont's Aled Richards.
He was helped by an undefeated 37 from Steffan Davies while opener Jeff Evans had scored 29.
Unfortunately, Ammanford's total presented little problem to the Bont batsmen.
Opener Scott Lloyd scored 68 and Matthew Williams carried his bat for 81, helped by an unbeaten 30 from Jacob Miles.
Bont ran out easy winners by seven wickets with four overs to spare.
