Ammanford AFC continued their impressive pre-season form with a 2-0 win over Loughor at the Rec on Saturday.

Kurt Morgan opened the scoring on 15 minutes when he dodged round one challenge and curled his effort into the roof of the net just as two challenges came sliding in on the midfielder.

Loughor’s only chance in the opening period was volleyed over when a freekick from the right fell nicely for the away side.

After the interval, new signing Daf Jones, who has joined the side following the departure of James Kirkwood to Carmarthen Town, made an excellent save when one-on-one to deny the visitors, and he was again on hand to deny an effort on 62 minutes.

Morgan nearly doubled his tally when he headed a Dayle Selvage cross wide of the post, but made up for it minutes later when he got on the end of a Mickey Morris ball to make it 2-0.

Late on, Rhys Morgan nearly scored with a flick but the effort fell wide of the mark.
