Legion Whites’ Llanelli and District Snooker League title bid was derailed this week when they crashed 6-1 to Llandybie RFC as Rhodri Treharne, Sion Isaac, Liam McGhee, Richard Davies and Dar Sigsworth all came up trumps for the visiting rugby club.

Elsewhere, John Meadows, Dai Luce, Kris Llewelyn and Shane Wright earned Snooker World A a 5-2 victory at Electric C while Karl Evans, Roger Morgan and Howard Wood edged a 4-3 win for Llandybie Social at Pontarddulais Workmens where Adam Griffiths, Jonny Ball and Steve Davies replied.

Matchroom B (D Wells, 83 break) were 4-3 winners at Bryn while Morfa defeated Llanesco B 6-1.

Meanwhile, Pont Cons A won 5-2 against Cross Hands B, thanks to Simon Williams, Steve Doughton, Kyle Steins and Steve Doughton. D Isaac and A Parnell replied.

In Division Two, Reading Room Reds were stunned 5-2 at Tycroes RFC A as Martin Davies, Matthew Bromham, Ashley Rees and G Davies won for the hosts. Penygroes RFC were excellent 5-2 winners against Garnant Club, thanks to Paul Crippin, Nigel Beynon, Marc Walters and Terrence Howells. Steve Lewis and Stuart Dunn replied.

Reading Room Blues edged a 4-3 success against Electric B, and Wyn Llewelyn, Jonathan Thomas and Dai King gave CGMD a 4-3 win at Llanelli Cons A.

In Division Three, Mike Dodd starred with a brilliant 102 break in Gorseinon Workmens’ 5-2 victory at Trimsaran B. Darren Williams, Tudor Lloyd and Julian Wilde added wins.

Leaders Snooker World B beat Tycroes B 5-2, courtesy of Craig Paull, Callum Jackson, S Crump and M Woods. A Evans and M Davies replied.

Dai Lewis, Eric Stevens, N Davies and Vic Yeo gave Llandeilo Hall a welcome 4-3 win over Ponhenri, wheras Cross Hands A hammered Pont Cons B 7-0. Gary Stead, Lyn Morgan, Gareth Jones, Matthew James and the Pritchards - Arwyn and Hywel - completed the rout.

Another side to suffer the whitewash was Loughor, beaten 7-0 at Great Mountain where Mark Martin, Elton Rees, Thomos Evans, James Bradley, Endaf Jones and Sean Lewis all won for the Tumble hosts.

New Lodge B beat Upper Tumble Reds 5-2, thanks to Terry Morgan, Marcus Courtney, Andrew John and G Langford. L Williams and M Sainty struck for the Reds.
