Bancffosfelen 4 Ammanford 7

In their battle to avoid finishing bottom of the table, Ammanford claimed a huge three points in the must-win game at Pontyberem Park.

Ammanford started slowly and the hosts took full advantage to earn an early lead before the visitors equalised when Alex Speed followed up a long-range attempt to tap in.

Ammanford went ahead when Sam Evans continued his scoring run only for Banc to get back on level terms after some sloppy defending.

The visitors regained the lead when Benjamin Rees fired home before Rhodri Bowen got his just rewards for an outstanding performance by adding a fourth.

Banc again responded to reduce the arrears to 4-3 at the interval.

The second half saw a superb performance from the visitors, lead from the back by skipper Allen George in goal.

They extended their lead when Aidan Andrew's effort went in off the post, following good link-up play between Bowen and Jack Beech.

Cian Anderson was next on the score sheet before Rees got his second of the game, firing in after a defensive error.

Banc scored a consolation late on, but there was no time for a comeback.

Ammanford climbed to ninth following two wins on the bounce and will hope to continue their winning streak when they entertain Johnstown in the final game of the season.
